The current trend in electric SUVs is not what you may expect, as many models are facing delays in production. This includes vehicles like the Audi Q6 E-Tron and Volvo’s EX90, with these models only now starting to come off the assembly line after months of waiting. I had the opportunity to test drive a pre-production model of the Volvo EX90, and overall, it was worth the wait. The EX90 is a dedicated electric vehicle platform with a 111-kilowatt-hour battery and dual electric motors, offering up to 310 miles of range. The interior is spacious, with luxurious seating options and a high-tech infotainment system. Despite some advanced driver system issues and connectivity struggles, the EX90 provides a smooth and comfortable ride with engaging driving dynamics. It may have been delayed, but the Volvo EX90 proves to be a promising entry in the electric SUV market.
