Former leaders of Humble Games, Alan Patmore and Mark Nash, have launched Good Games Group, a new indie publisher that has ironically secured its first deal with their old parent company. Good Games Group will be working with Humble Games to support previously released titles, with CEO Alan Patmore stating that the mission of their company is to bring exceptional indie games to the global gaming community. This partnership with Ziff Davis, the media conglomerate that owns sites like IGN and Eurogamer, allows Good Games Group to continue collaborating with indie developers while paving a new path for the future. In contrast, Humble Games recently underwent a restructuring that resulted in mass layoffs, causing concern for game developers like Squid Shock Games, who turned to a Patreon fundraiser for financial support following the changes.
