The recent patch notes for the Bedrock edition of the game reiterated this, stating that VR/MR devices will no longer be supported after that date. However, players can still continue building in their worlds on non-VR/MR devices and access their Marketplace purchases. This news comes as a disappointment for fans who enjoyed the VR experience, especially considering Minecraft’s massive sales figures over the years. On the bright side, the Minecraft community can now rejoice as the game is finally available in a native edition for the PlayStation 5, offering 4K resolution, 60 fps, and a longer draw distance. PS5 owners with the PS4 version can claim the new update for free in the PlayStation Store, and with the new Bundles of Bravery update, it’s a promising time to embark on a new blocky adventure.
