During a highly anticipated live interview between X owner Elon Musk and Donald Trump on Spaces, X’s live streaming infrastructure failed, making the stream inaccessible to many users. Musk claimed it was due to a massive DDOS attack. Despite the difficulties, the stream eventually started with hold music and silence before Musk explained the technical issues. This isn’t the first time a high-profile live stream on Spaces encountered problems, with a previous instance involving Ron DeSantis announcing his presidential bid. Musk’s biographer later revealed the issues stemmed from instability within Twitter’s systems. The situation is still developing.
