While it offers a disc-free experience, the $50 discount may not be worth it for everyone. The new console is the same size as the standard version with a disc drive, unlike the PS5. Additionally, Microsoft is launching a 2TB special edition of Series X in “galaxy black” for $600 and a white Xbox Series S with 1TB of storage. These new consoles will be available in most regions where Xbox hardware is supported, except for specific countries. The release date in the US is set for October 15, with some countries receiving the consoles on October 29. Microsoft has also unveiled new accessible controllers alongside the new Xbox Series X (Galaxy Black Special Edition).
