Gemini Live, Google’s AI chatbot you can talk to like a person, is about to support more languages, with the company rolling out generative AI virtual assistant in over 40 languages in the coming weeks. Google’s take on “free-flowing, natural conversations” in this new AI era, Gemini Live can be used for brainstorming events, learning, or practicing job interview questions with real-time feedback. The tool allows for chatting in two languages on the same device, with further language expansion planned. Multi-language support will also extend to Gemini integrations for other Google apps and services like Calendar, Tasks, Keep, and Utilities. Users can set preferred languages in the Android app by going to Settings > Google Assistant > Languages and choosing first and additional preferences. Unfortunately, Gemini Live is only available on Android devices for now, as Google has not announced any plans to bring it to iPhone, preferring to attract users to its own mobile platform.
